What exactly is Inflatable Invasion?

Imagine a crowd of people in inflatable costumes scrambling for candy, racing through obstacle courses, playing games, and generally looking ridiculous together. Add candy launched through the air, prizes, food, and plenty of chaos. That’s Inflatable Invasion.

Do I need an inflatable costume?

You don’t have to wear one, but it is definitely preferred! The inflatables are what make the Invasion an invasion.

Your options:

  • Buy one. Bonus: Halloween is right around the corner. See options HERE
  • Borrow one. Ask a friend, neighbor, cousin, coworker, somebody has one hiding in a closet.
  • Make one! Get creative. Homemade inflatable-style costumes are welcome, and we’ll even have prizes for some of our favorites. HERE’S A TUTORIAL and a link to the BLOWER

If none of those work, come anyway! Regular costumes are welcome too, and there will be designated candy launches so everyone can participate.


Do adults wear inflatables too?

YES. Please do. This is absolutely not just for kids. In fact, watching adults attempt an obstacle course while dressed as a dinosaur may be one of the primary reasons this event exists.


What happens at the Candy Scramble?

Candy will be launched into designated areas throughout the event. Scramble for candy and keep an eye out for special golden items that can be exchanged for BIG candy prizes!

Candy launches will happen approximately every 15 minutes, including designated opportunities for participants who are not wearing inflatables.


What else is there to do?

Expect inflatable races and challenges, obstacle courses, soccer and games, photo opportunities, candy scrambles, prizes, and plenty of opportunities to cheer on people dressed as dinosaurs, chickens, aliens, sharks, and whatever else shows up.


Is there food?

Yep and it’s free! We’ll have concessions like hot dogs, popcorn, cotton candy, and cider.


Does it cost anything?

No. Inflatable Invasion is a free community event.


Do I need to register?

No registration required. Just show up.


What ages can participate?

Inflatable Invasion is designed to be a family-friendly event for kids, teens, and adults. Some activities may be separated by age or size to keep things fun and safe.


Can I make my own costume?

Absolutely. In fact, we encourage it. Cardboard, bags, balloons, creativity, figure it out! Just make sure you can safely see, breathe, walk, and move in it. Again, here’s a tutorial on how to make a homemade inflatable.


What should I bring?

Bring your inflatable or costume, something to collect candy in, and your willingness to look a little ridiculous.


Is it safe?
We’ll organize races, candy launches, and activities into designated areas and groups when necessary. Parents/guardians are responsible for supervising their children, and participants should only wear costumes that allow them to safely see, breathe, and move.


Can I just come watch?
Of course. Come eat, laugh, cheer people on, take pictures, and enjoy the afternoon. But we’re warning you, you may regret not showing up dressed as a 7-foot inflatable T-Rex.


Why are you doing this?
Because our community could use more opportunities to simply have fun together. Inflatable Invasion is a chance to meet neighbors, laugh together, make memories, and enjoy a completely unnecessary, but spectacular, afternoon.
